ESPN College Game Day Fan Advisory Virginia Tech will host Duke on Feb. 26, 2011, in Cassell Coliseum and the crew from ESPN College GameDay, Driven by State Farm will be on hand for a full day of college basketball excitement. Admission is free to attend the ESPN College GameDay broadcast. All seating will be general admission and doors on the North and West sides of Cassell Coliseum will open at 8:30 a.m. The live national broadcast begins airing at 10 a.m. Below is pertinent information for all fans planning to attend College GameDay: Parking: Season Ticket holders with valid parking passes for the men’s basketball season will be allowed to park in their designated lot. All other fans should park in the Chicken Hill Lot. A free shuttle will be available to service fans to and from Cassell Coliseum beginning at 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. On-campus students are encouraged to walk to Cassell to avoid parking issues. Concessions: A limited number of concession stands will be open for College GameDay Banners and Signs: Fans will be allowed to bring banners, signs and flags to the College GameDay broadcast but all items will be screened prior to entering Cassell Coliseum. Due to athletics department policy, these items will not be permitted for the actual game later that evening. The Athletics Department will be holding a Poster-Making Party on Friday from 5-7 p.m. in the lobby of Cassell Coliseum. Free pizza will be provided and Coach Greenberg will make an appearance. The event is open and free for all fans. Posters and markers will be provided and fans are also encouraged to bring their own supplies. ADA Accomodations: The same ADA policy for home basketball games will be in effect for patrons needing special assisted seating options. Fans should enter through the Merryman Athletic Center and follow the signs leading to the floor of Cassell Coliseum to be seated. Below is a list of all events taking place Feb. 26 on campus. Admission is free to all events except the basketball game where tickets are sold out. For a full list of promotions scheduled for each event, visit the promotions page at www.hokiesports.com/promotions. Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that we'll be having a Roundball Club social tomorrow following the Penn State game. We'll have PK's pizza and the players and coaches will join us in the Bowman Room as soon as their media responsibilities are over. We're also keeping a close eye on the weather in the event the storm that is forecast for tomorrow takes a turn for the worse. If there are any changes to our plans, an announcement will be sent by email and also announced at the game, but for now, it looks like everything will be fine to have the social as planned.

So, join us tomorrow to celebrate after the game! Maybe we can even convince the team to take all of us to Atlantis with them...I think a Roundball Club social in the Bahamas might be just what we all need!

At any rate, I look forward to seeing you tomorrow afternoon...and remember...

November 2010 - Roundball Club Update

Hey Hokies.. here's the latest updated from the Roundball Club (directly from Ann Cassell)!!!


Dear Roundball Club:

The wait is over! Basketball season - and another great year of Roundball Club functions - starts tomorrow!

We will be having a social to kick off the season following the Campbell game tomorrow night in the Bowman Room. This is a great opportunity to bring guests and potential new members and introduce them to the Roundball Club. Please plan to join us and support the team and coaches as we kick off the exciting season ahead!

By now, you should have received a membership renewal form as part of your season ticket mailing. If you did not receive it, you are part of a small portion of season ticket holders whose forms were inadvertently left out of the mailing. A copy of this year's form is available on our web site at http://www.roundball.org.vt.edu/join_roundball.pdf . Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions about the renewal process!

Additionally, I wanted to pass along a few announcements regarding away games:

*Tickets are available to the game at UNC-Greensboro on Sunday, November 21st (tipoff at 1 pm). Hokies will be gathering at J. Butler's Restaurant in the Doubletree Hotel at 10:30 am on game day. A number of VT fans are planning to be at the game, so please join us!

October 2010 - Roundball Club Update from Seth Greenberg

Hey Hokies... it's been a while since I've posted... here's the October 2010 Roundball Club Update from Seth Greenberg... look out below:

Dear Roundball Club,

We are just a week away from the start of practice. Our staff has been
busy on the road recruiting and doing individual and team workouts. Although we
have been hit with injuries, I am excited about the prospects for the coming
year. Our starting unit is intact and I am confident one of our underclassmen
will step up and give us the depth needed to compete in the best conference in
college basketball.

Raines Update: Cadarian Raines had shock therapy on his foot on Monday
and Dr. Anderson is optimistic it will assist in the healing process. I am
anticipating holding him out till October 25th which would give him 15 days of
practice prior to opening game vs Campbell.

Late Night: Come join us for Late Night with the Hokies, October 15th.
The festivities will begin following our volleyball contest. (Our volleyball
team is playing at a high level and play a fastbreak style of game that is fun
to watch). Let’s rock the Cassell for the start of the season.

All Access Clinic: Get an insiders look into college basketball by
attending our All Access Clinic October 22-23. The clinic will begin on Friday
evening. After Saturday’s session, join our players and staff for a tailgate
prior to the football game vs Duke. The cost of the clinic is $40.00 and
includes a clipboard, T-Shirt and lunch. To reserve a spot, return the attached
form or call our office at 540-231-6275.

Tip Off Banquet: Doug Gottlieb will be the featured speaker at this
year’s National Bank of Blacksburg Tip Off Banquet on October 24th. He has
developed into one of ESPN’s featured analyst and is never short on a story or
opinion. Doug was a huge supporter of ours as the field for the NCAA Tournament
was selected. For further information on the banquet or the clinic, call our
